Taxing Times

There’s been a fair amount of press recently about big corporates avoiding paying tax to the Inland Revenue.  Amazon in particular has come under fire for their procedures in avoiding tax.

To be fair, it has done nothing illegal - its European operations are registered in Luxembourg - but Margaret Hodge, Chairman of the Commons public account committee, has accused its attitude to avoiding tax as immoral.

There have been calls to boycott the giant online retailer in favour of other online or high street stores.  In fact if you do some research, we discovered you may even save yourself some money.

We found a number of sites comparing the prices of this Christmas's must have toys and DVD's - and although Amazon is very competitive, it's not always the cheapest option. Our advice - shop around.
